Movie Making
Do you have dreams of dazzling the silver screen? Or were you the one who always wanted to call the shots? Or maybe life for you only held meaning when seen from behind the lens of the camera! Escape your daily mundane routine and realize all your dreams by participating in Unmaad 2012's Short film making competition!

Format

  1. The theme for the Short film making contest is "ESCAPE YOURSELF".
  2. The entries need to be uploaded on YOUTUBE and the link for the same need to be submitted to dc.unmaad12@gmail.com which later would be uploaded on UNMAAD page on Facebook by the event organizers.
  3. In case of more than 10 entries, there would be an initial screening by judges/event organizers and the top 10 entries would be screened during UNMAAD'12.
  4. After the final screening, the winner will be announced.


Rules

  1. There is no limit on the no. of members in a team.
  2. The details regarding the movie is as mentioned below:
    1. Minimum: 2 mins
    2. Maximum: 10 mins
    3. Credits at the end of the film are limited to a maximum of 60 seconds
  3. The films would be subjected to an initial screening.
  4. Entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-party's rights; must be suitable for publication. Presence of obscene/controversial content in the video would lead to immediate disqualification from the event.
  5. Participants are refrained to use any language other than English and Hindi.
  6. The finished film must contain:
    1. 5 seconds of black
    2. A title screen: Team name, College, Title of the movie (5 seconds)
    3. A title card with: (3 seconds)
    4. "This film is made for UNMAAD'12"
    5. 2 seconds of black
    6. Your film (2-10mins) + Credits (Max 1min)
  7. The team may add to or amend these rules at any time prior to the beginning of the Challenge time period.


Evaluation Criteria

  1. The movies would be judged by the panelists on the following parameters during the final screening:
    1. Script/Story
    2. Set/Location design
    3. Shooting
    4. Editing
    5. Sound design
  2. Viewers' poll: The submitted entries would be uploaded on FACEBOOK page and 'no. of likes' (each like earns 1 point) and 'no. of shares' (each share earns 10 points) would earn the entries 'points' which will be used in final rating.
