When we say we're MAD, we really do mean it!

Make A Difference is a youth volunteer network. And by 'youth' and 'volunteer', we mean people who are young enough at heart to want to make a difference to the world around them by actively participating in the process of change. Or, to break it down:

We work with under-privileged children in orphanages, street shelters and poor homes. Why? Because these children aren't incapable or less smart. They are just like any other kids their age. But. With lesser opportunities to succeed in life. Actually, with very very few opportunities to succeed in life. They dream the same dreams that we did when we were their age. So, we thought we should try and make those come true, whatever they may be!

MAD (Yes, that acronym was a conscious choice!) has several projects running that focus on the all-round development of children in centers like these.

From an English Project (where we teach children the Cambridge English for Schools curriculum) to a Library Project (which sets up active libraries in centers) to a Career Awareness Project, MAD has 5 programmes running simultaneously in 19 cities across India.

Around 1000 MAD volunteers work with 3500 children every week.

Youth, we believe, is not just about having fun. Youth is that one precious moment in life when you've enough energy to want to go out there and change the world. MAD is a platform that gives young people the opportunity to do just that.

So when we say we're MAD, we really do mean it. We do Make A Difference.
