No matter what the genre of dance is, this couple dance event is sure to get the crowds' feet tapping and hearts pounding to the catchy tunes and peppy beats!

Simran Godhwani

Simran Godhwani is a promising Kathak artist & the Creative Head of Krshala - a centre promoting the art of dance. She was an HR professional for 4 years in a leading MNC in Bangalore. She is a senior disciple of Guru Murari, disciple of the legendary Kathak maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj. She has learnt the classical dance style of Bharatanatyam for 14 years and Kathak for over 7 years.

For the last 10 years, she is actively promoting and propagation of various forms of Dances. She is has conceptualized various dance productions for leading schools in Bangalore and has performed for various organizations in India & abroad.

She has choreographed many dance ballets like "an Indian adaptation to the Pied Piper", Krishna Leela etc & a unique show called "Mind, Mood and Madness" which brought together the styles of Kathak, Bharatanatyam, contemporary and Salsa presented at the Alliance Francaise in Bangalore.

She has integrated Dance & Yoga to a form called DanceYoga which combines the techniques of different types of Dance and Yoga. A form that blends the beauty & grace of Dance and strengthening and energizing techniques of Yoga.

Above all she is wife to Rakesh Godhwani & has two lovely kids Kian & Aarohii.

1. Each team must consist of 2 participants (either gender).
2. The event comprises of only 1 round. An elimination round may be held in case of excess registrations. The teams will be intimated of the elimination round (if required) 3 days in advance.
3. Each team will be given a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 minutes to perform.
4. Participants may perform to western or ethnic music- they will be marked on par.
5. The usage of atleast one prop is a must. Teams without a prop will be penalized.
6. Participants must submit their music - 2 copies on 2 separate CDs (no cassettes etc), at the time of registration
7. Registrations will be accepted online through the website. Spot registrations are allowed.
8. Use of fire (including diyas, candles or lighters) and water is not allowed
