Shashank Purushotham
Shashank Purushotham is a Dental Surgeon turned Theatre Practitioner residing in Bangalore. He freelances as an actor, director, trainer, lighting designer, make up and voice over artist. As an actor he has performed all over the India as well as abroad (West Indies & Bangladesh) in over thirty productions with various theatre groups based in Bangalore.
Some of the plays include THE PROPHET AND THE POET, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, NINE FACES OF BEING, SMALL INFINITIES, SILENCE THE COURT IS IN SESSION, etc. He is also actively involved in Kannada folk theatre under the guidance of veteran theatre person B Jayashree with play BALLOORA GUDIKARA. He works as a project associate with the Academy Of Theatre Arts (BLT) and is currently exploring his interests in film making.
Sandeep Shikhar
Sandeep is a seasoned theatre practitioner. He started theatre with Dastak Sanskritik Manch, Dhanbad and has trained as an actor from the Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, New Delhi.
As an actor, he has performed in many states of India. As a writer, his works include "Treadmill" produced by Indian Ensemble, "Naariyal Paani" produced by Our Theatre and "Deluxe Hair Cutting Salon" produced by Mashaal Theatre Group. "Treadmill" has been selected for the 1st Festival of Contemporary Indian Theatre in Paris, 2012.
He has also been writing dialogues and screenplays for films and TV series in Mumbai. He is currently working on two new scripts, Kabhi Yahan-Kabhi Wahaan and Open Cast.
Rules
- A team should have a minimum of three and a maximum of twenty people on the stage (exclusive of all helpers who will not be considered as members of the participating team)
- The registration has to be made before Unmaad through the website www.unmaad.com, the last date for registration is January 18th 2012.
- Submission of scripts shall preferably be through soft copy via email to
CurtainCall.Unmaad12@gmail.com or by couriering a hard copy to the following address:

Bangalore 560 076 - On the basis of the scripts, a total of six teams will be selected to perform at Unmaad. The shortlisted teams will be announced online at least one week prior to the event.
Theme
- The script of the play can be original or adapted. Due credit should be given to the original playwright if the script is adapted
- Only English and/or Hindi languages are allowed
Duration
- The teams will be allowed a maximum of 45 minutes plus 5 minutes of setting time.
- Teams will be penalized for exceeding the given time limit of 45 minutes. No team will be allowed on stage beyond 50 minutes
Props and Sound/Lights
- The teams should bring along people to manage sound and light
- Teams will be provided three mikes, six chairs, two tables - one small and one large and a projector. Other props should be arranged by teams on their own
- The teams are required to bring in their own music/background images in the form of CDs (teams are required to give 2 copies on 2 separate CDs - no cassettes) and hand over the same to the organizers at least 3 hours before the event commences
- The organizers will be providing the equipment to play the music and the images (projector)
- Use of fire (even diyas, candles or lighters) and water is not allowed
