The Unmaad Media Conclave is a lecture series which was conceptualized to recognize and provide a platform for individuals who have stood apart from the rest and created a positive impact in their sphere against overwhelming odds. The event is an integral part of our annual cultural festival, with past speakers including the likes of Rajat Sharma, Viren Rasquinha, Shobha De, Gul Panag, Nisha Susan and many more. It sees an audience of over 200 students, faculty and the general public.
The theme for this year's series is Escape Constraints: the Role of Passion in Overcoming Obstacles, in keeping with the theme of Unmaad 2012, "Escape Yourself".
For this event, we plan to invite some distinguished speakers across several diverse fields to share their experiences on how they reached to great heights in their careers despite challenges they faced along the way.
The idea behind the series is to provide an opportunity for these individuals to educate their young audience about the importance of motivating oneself in the face of difficulty, and about the role of passion as a motivating force in their journey. This year we have confirmed Shibani Kashyap, Loveleen Tandon, Prasad Bidapa and RJ Abhish as our speakers from the entertainment industry.

Shibani Kashyap needs hardly any introduction. One of the most popular voices in Bollywood, she is a classical singer and music composer, and has been the voice of several well-known tunes from 'Sajna Aaa Bhi Ja' to the famous Amul India song. She won the Channel V award for her debut album Ho Gayi Hai Mohabbat in 1998, and the Best Female Pop Singer award for the album Nazakat at the 2005 Sangeet Awards in San Francisco. 
Nitin Gupta is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Bombay famous for creating a Cult Play 'Love In December'. Fresh out of Campus, he got an offer to perform on Laughter Challenge, the opportunity which he later turned down! The reason is a simple mission .He founded Entertainment Engineers , to make Stand Up Comedy respectable in India and to create a humor Renaissance in this country.
Humor he says, ought to have an emotionality to it. We not only want people to laugh and think, we want them to LAUGH, THINK and FEEL at the same time. T.V. was not the medium to do that. So Nitin took to the Stage, College Festivals, Corporate Shows. And in a short span he has already enthralled the Audiences in some of the Biggest College Festivals in India, IITs, NITs, IIMs their Alumini Meets and various FORTUNE 500 Companies.

Prasad Bidapa is known as India's fashion guru, and is the man behind the rise of women such as Lara Dutta and Anushka Sharma. As well as being a fulltime fashion designer, he also trains models Miss India beauty pageants, and has run projects such as the India Men's Fashion Awards in Bangalore and the Kingfisher Fashion Awards.

Mr. Jayesh Sule is the Executive Director of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL), where he has worked since its inception. He has worked in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) in various capacities and as Head of Market Operations, Surveillance, Listing & Investor Services. Having worked in capital markets for 23 years, he has delivered lectures on various topics related to them at several institutions including Bankers Training College, Indian Institute of Capital Market, BSE Training Institute, etc.

Dr. Ram S. Sangapure, General Manager, Central Bank of India
Dr. Ram S. Sangapure is the General Manager of Central Bank of India's Retail Banking Department. Having completed his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sofia, he started his career in banking industry with IDBI and had exposure to various areas of banking during his span of 5 years with the Bank. Following this, he joined Central Bank of India as Assistant General Manager and had worked in various capacities such as Regional Manager and Incharge of Corporate Finance Branch. He is now functioning as the in-charge of the Retail Banking Department of the Bank and is instrumental in modifying and finalizing various retail lending schemes of the Bank keeping in view the ever changing banking environment. Recently, under his leadership, the Bank has been honored with the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for its innovative product viz. Cent Sahayog.
